Service Description
Acupuncture treatment involves fine needles being inserted through the skin and left in position briefly, sometimes with manual or electrical stimulation. The number of needles varies but may be only two or three. Treatment might be once a week to begin with, then at longer intervals as the condition responds. A typical course of treatment lasts five to eight sessions. Each patient’s case is assessed by the practitioner and treatment tailored to the individual. Acupuncture stimulates the nerves in skin, muscle and other tissues, and can produce a variety of effects. We know that it increases the release of the body’s natural painkillers, including endorphin and serotonin, in the pathways of both the spinal cord and the brain. This modifies the way pain signals are received by the brain. Acupuncture can do more than simply reduce pain however: it seems to have a beneficial effect on the health of some individuals. Patients often notice an improved sense of wellbeing after treatment. Current research shows that acupuncture can have an effect on many of the body’s systems – the nervous system, muscle tone, hormone production, circulation, and allergic responses, as well as the respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.
Cancellation Policy
1: The booking fee confirms your appointment 2: Booking fees are non refundable. 3: Booking fees are deducted from the final amount on the day. 4: You are able to reschedule your appointment yourself up to 72 hours before. 5. If you cannot attend your appointment or cancel in the 72 hours before your appointment your booking fee is forfeited 6: The booking fee is deducted from the final cost of treatment payable on the day of treatment. 7: You are not obliged to undergo treatment, you have the right to cancel at anytime without giving a reason, even after signing the consent form on the day. The booking fee will remain non refundable. 8 booking fees for flash sale appointments, where full payment is required at the time of booking, are non refundable. 9: Quotes provided for multiple treatments are valid for 60 days. 10: Treatments are inclusive of, not limited to: Nurse fees, insurances, licences, gold standard UK licensed legal products, scheduled follow appointment, aftercare instructions and packs (if required), adjustments to treatments should they be required within a 2 week window as agreed by the practitioner if needed. 10: all further follow ups or adjustments required outside of the 2 week window will be chargeable separately.
